Newbie About To Order from Tulving

Hello everyone! I am a new member to this forum and have been reading up on all your posts. I am about to purchase 25oz in American Eagle coins from Tulving. Any advise? Thanks in advance.

Javier,
Tulving has never been known to rip anyone off that I know of. Apmex.com is good, too but they require credit card confirmation.
Welcome to GIM.
Why stop at 25, go ahead and order 2500!

Minimum order is 20 ounces of Gold at a time. That's about 15K. Not a lot of money to some but since CNI is 2 bucks more per ounce I would dollar cost average 25 ounces unless it was a small purchase for Senor Javier. In short I wouldn't buy it all at once since there is no financial advantage unless you KNOW Gold is gonna ass launch yesterday.:bandit:

Re: Newbie About To Order from Tulving

APMEX.com 1oz American Eagle $588.00
TULVING.com 1oz American Eagle $577.49
CNI 1oz American Eagle $580.00

Re: Newbie About To Order from Tulving

CNI 580, but you have to buy 2 in order to get free shipping. Or some silver with it if you wanted 1.

isn't 25 ounces the minimum for reporting by law of the patriot act...?

so they will hand your name and address right over to the feds....

Re: Newbie About To Order from Tulving

if thats true sarge, id split my purchases. can any1 else veryfy this? also, those pamp suisse bars w/assay cards @ apmex for 573 look pretty sweet IMO

javierruizleon 02-25-2006 03:38 PM

Re: Newbie About To Order from Tulving

If that is true about the Patriot Act, then should I buy 24 American Eagles instead of 25?

lhslancers 02-25-2006 03:49 PM

Re: Newbie About To Order from Tulving

As long as you purchase by check there is no reporting requirement as long as you keep it below 15K. This is what the CNI rep told me and this was backed up by a bigwig over there. If privacy is an issue find a coin show or a dealer.

Also, try to avoid using your real first, middle and last name when registering at a PM forum.

While you're at it, pick up a few hundred onzas of plata.

Good advice! I am mainly buying the Gold Coins because I believe the Dollar will not have the same value very soon. I just want my money to retain the same or near the current value, profit would be icing.

QWAK,Sarge,It is 10K in FRNs that is the triger point, not the number of ounces. The ruel was you could SELL 10 oz. a day with out geting on their radar back when I first started buying GOLD NOW it is 10K FRNs or so I have been told by the dealers I have talked to.

Personaly I think it very unlikely they will try to consvicate agen but the DAMN SHURE want their CUT of any percieved PROFIT! That is totaly ABSURED to ME because GOLD does nOT actualy APRECIATE like a STOCK it just stands still anf HOLDS its VALUE wile the FIAT currencies fall!

As long as THEY are making the ruels it does not realy matter as they CAN and WILL change the rules when ever and how ever it suits THEM. It is an "Alace in Wonder Land" world and THEY are the CRAZY QUEEN!

That is reassuring.

I second Hoarder's point of your user name. Aren't you closer to CNI than Tulving anyway and how is your Fastback doing?

The less information the better.

Amen.

If you wire the funds to Tulving, you will have your gold 2 days later.

Silver they ship UPS, gold is overnight US post office.....and you WILL have it in 2 days.

Amen Andy,

Have used Tulving for several years and he never fails to deliver what and when promised......NEVER. His minimums are getting tight, but if you can swing them, you will be hard pressed to beat his prices most of the time. Never a complaint with Hannes.

The Feds consider a wire the same as cash.

AuNuggets 02-26-2006 10:30 AM

Re: Newbie About To Order from Tulving

The feds consider wires the same as any other bank to bank transaction, i.e. money orders or checks or cashier's checks. There is already a "paper trail", so no need to report wire transfers.

Also, Colorado gold looks good on the face of things, but then tack on another 1 1/2 percent to the listed prices as their "commission". Tulving has the better bottom line (shipped) pricing.

I've bought from Stott as well.....I deal mainly with Tulving, but I like Stott....good guy and a straight shooter.

I've notice he's raised his minimums as well lately.

AgAuGal 02-26-2006 03:22 PM

Re: Newbie About To Order from Tulving

Yes he did Andy. I expect they both raised their minimums because demand has increased and they can demand higher minimums without hurting their business. I have dealt with them both but I am out of the ball park now with their new minimums. Newbies to PMs are going to havta shell out allotta mulla to get their first ounces.
